who is mel?

Who am I? I will probably be answering that question for years to come.  But for right now I’m a photographer and a wife.

I want to share my life and journey being a newlywed and a wanna-be photographer.  I have had the pleasure of showcasing some of my photos at the T&P Tavern in downtown Fort Worth.   It was an honor, but with my recent move to Tulsa, the photos are now with me and still for sale.

What I really want is my own darkroom to process my film and photos.  I get a high from working with my hands and having a photo to touch and feel.   There is just something about the look of film that digital filters can’t replicate.  And maybe I just feel more connected with a photo and the subject when it’s not being viewed by a LCD screen…or photoshopped to death.
